LAKE CITY:  The following is a list of roadwork underway by the FDOT that may impact traffic.

Note:  All work will be suspended on Friday, November 11 for the Veterans Day holiday.

ALACHUA COUNTY:

Archer Road (State Road 24) Daytime lane closures from Southwest 13th Street (US 441) to the Levy County line to repaint the roadway markings.

Interstate 75 Daytime lane closures at mile marker 380 (two miles south of the Williston Road ext) on Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. for cleanup from an earlier crash.

Interstate 75 The southbound off ramp to Newberry Road (State Road 26) will be closed Sunday  nights from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. for resurfacing. The northbound entrance ramp from Newberry Road to I-75 will be closed Monday through Wednesday nights from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. for resurfacing. Additional closures will occur on the southbound exit ramp for guardrail work beginning Thursday night through November 16 between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m. Traffic will be detoured to either Archer Road or Northwest 39th Avenue.  FHP will assist with the closures. Also, daytime lane closures on the northbound exit ramp from I-75 to Newberry Road to widen the lanes. The speed limit is reduced to 60 mph.

Southwest 13th Street (US 441) Daytime lane closures south of Archer Road (State Road 24) to make improvements for pedestrians and bicyclists. The work is being overseen by the Gainesville Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA).

BAKER COUNTY:

County Road 125 (Manntown Bridge) Daytime lane closures weekdays after 8:30 a.m. to replace the bridge by building temporary work platform and installing piers for the new bridge foundation.

Minnesota and McIver avenues; South, East and Michigan boulevards Possible lane closures as crews are working south of US 90 to add sidewalks.  Also, CSX crews are working on the crossing at East Boulevard.

State Road 228 Crews will be repainting the roadway lines from south of Interstate 10 to US 90 which is a moving operation.

US 90 Crews are working on the south side of the road between Baker Correctional Institution and Interstate 10 to restore the ditch and replace drainage pipes.

US 90 Daytime lane closures to repaint the roadway markings between the Columbia and Nassau County lines. Also, crews will be repainting the roadway lines which is a moving operation.

BRADFORD COUNTY:

Southeast 144th Avenue The road is closed for reconstruction between Hayes Avenue and the CSX Railroad for the next two weeks. It is scheduled to be reopened by mid-November.

State Road 230  (Call Street) The road will be closed in Starke on Friday, November 11 from 1-3 p.m. for the Veteran’s Day parade. Starke Police will detour traffic.

CLAY COUNTY:

County Road 315C Daytime lane closures from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. between Christian Camp Road (County Road 214) and Blanding Boulevard (State Road 21) near Keystone Heights for paving the final layer of asphalt.

COLUMBIA COUNTY:

Interstate 10 Daytime and nighttime lane closures for westbound traffic beginning Monday at 6 a.m. until Friday at 6 a.m. from US 441(Exit 303) to the Suwannee County line (west of Interstate 75) to resurface the travel lanes. Crews also continue to work along the side of the interstate on the drainage culverts. No lane closures allowed from Friday at 6 a.m. until Sunday at 9 p.m. The speed limit is reduced to 60 mph during lane closures.

Interstate 75 Daytime lane closures for guardrail work in the median north of the US 41/441 overpass. Also, daytime lane closures for northbound traffic from the Alachua County line to just north of Ellisville for shoulder grading operations. The speed limit is reduced to 60 mph during lane closures. No work requiring lane closures is allowed from 6 a.m. Friday until 9 p.m. Sunday.  The paving crews are expected to return to the job beginning Monday, November 14.

US 41/441 No lane closures expected at the Interstate 75 interchange in Ellisville.

US 441 (Marion Avenue) The road will be closed from the FDOT to Washington Street in Lake City on Friday, November 11 from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. for the Veteran’s Day parade. Lake City Police will detour traffic.

DIXIE COUNTY:

State Road 349 Daytime lane closures from US 19 in Old Town to the Lafayette County line to repaint the roadway markings.

US 19 Daytime lane closures for southbound traffic in Cross City to rework the grass utility strips next to the roadway.

GILCHRIST COUNTY:

US 129 The road will be closed in Trenton on Friday, November 11 from 10-11 a.m. for the Veteran’s Day parade. Trenton Police will detour traffic.

HAMILTON COUNTY:

Interstate 75 Two southbound lanes will be closed at the overpass over the abandoned railroad (near US 129) on Sunday night from 9:30 p.m. to 4 a.m. for routine bridge maintenance.

Interstate 75 Northbound traffic will be reduced to one lane Tuesday through Thursday during the daytime between US 129 (Exit 451) and State Road 6 (Exit 460) to pave the final layer of asphalt. One northbound lane may be closed on Monday. Also, daytime lane closures for southbound traffic at the Alapaha River Bridge for work on the roadway approaches. No work is allowed Friday from 6 a.m. through Sunday at 9 p.m. and the speed limit is reduced to 60 mph during lane closures.

Interstate 75 The southbound agricultural inspection station at mile marker 446 is closed until February 2012 while a new station is built.  All livestock is redirected to the FDOT weigh station  at mile marker 451 which is north of the closed agricultural inspection station.

US 129 Crews will be repainting the roadway lines from the Suwannee River (Suwannee County line) to US 41 south of Jasper which is a moving operation.

LAFAYETTE COUNTY:

State Road 51 Daytime lane closures at the Hal Adams Bridge north of Mayo on Thursday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. for routine bridge inspection.

State Road 349 Daytime lane closures from the Dixie County line to US 27 to trim trees.

US 27 Daytime lane closures from County Road 53 in Buckville to the Suwannee River bridge just west of Branford to trim trees.

LEVY COUNTY:

Alternate 27 (US 27A) The road will be closed in Bronson on Friday, November 11 from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. for the Veteran’s Day and Bronson High School homecoming parades. Levy County Sheriff’s Department will detour traffic.  

MADISON COUNTY:

State Road 145 Possible daytime lane closures between Hanson and the Georgia state line as crews work on drainage pipes.

US 90 Daytime lane closures in the City of Madison to perform edging and sweeping along the sidewalks and to trim tree limbs.

US 221 Daytime lane closures from US 90 in Greenville to the Jefferson County line to clean ditches.

SUWANNEE COUNTY:

Interstate 10 Nighttime lane closures Sunday through Wednesday nights at the ramps to US 90 (Exit 275) and US 129 (Exit 283) to resurface. Also, daytime lane closures between US 90 and US 129 to rework the shoulders along the medians and guardrail installation. Only two miles of I-10 will be closed at a time.

Sixth Street This project to add a sidewalk between Walker and Johnson avenues in Live Oak should be completed and will require no more lane closures.

TAYLOR COUNTY:

US 19 Daytime lane closures in the city limits of Perry to edge and sweep along the sidewalks.

US 27 Daytime lane closures in the city limits of Perry to edge and sweep along the sidewalks.

US 98 Possible daytime lane for the construction of a temporary bridge across the Aucilla River at the Jefferson County line. Also, dirt will be brought in and placed for the new roadway approaches to be built at the temporary bridge. No detours will be required for this project.

US 221 Daytime lane closures in the city limits of Perry to edge and sweep along the sidewalks.

UNION COUNTY:

State Road 100 Work continues on the multi-use trail that follows the old Norfolk Southern rail corridor adjacent to SR 100 in Lake Butler from State Road 238 to County Road 237.
