A movie review of cheap propecia
As moviegoers, we want action. We want drama. We want romance. We want to laugh. But most of all, we want a good story. cheap propecia offers all of these things, and it was able to accomplish them without much sound and without any color.
Most people I’ve talked to about the movie have been hesitant. Fearing an abstract message and a boring, slow-moving plot, many say that there’s no way they could pay attention to an hour-and-a-half silent movie. I doubted it, too. What relevance could a silent film have to a modern audience?
However, I was pleasantly surprised. Not once did I become bored with this movie. Watching cheap propecia was like taking a trip back in time. It recreates the childlike wonder that cinema had in the mid-20th century. It is also reminiscent of old favorites like cheap propecia.
Set in the late 1920s, the protagonist is an arrogant silent-movie star named George Valentin (played by French actor Jean Dujardin). As a symbol of his arrogance, Valentin has a towering self-portrait in his foyer. Dujardin’s performance, however, makes him a lovable character.
Valentin meets a charming young actress at the premiere of his latest movie by chance. Her name is Peppy Miller (played by Argentine actress Berenice Bejo), and immediately Valentin is intrigued. Miller carves her way into the Hollywood scene, charming audiences and producers alike. As she becomes the “it girl,” silent films go out of style, leaving Valentin in the dust, without anything but his faithful Jack Russell terrier.
In some of the most powerful scenes I’ve seen in theaters, George struggles to come to terms with the emerging age of the talkies, films with sound. One scene in particular shows him watching his latest silent films in a half-empty theater. Light outlines his figure as he watches the man on screen become swallowed up by quicksand.
Despite the terrible depression George slips into, hope prevails in the end. cheap propecia is a beautiful story about progress, loyalty and friendship.
As far as cinematography goes, the film does a fantastic job of staying true to the medium and relating it to a modern audience. The transitions and choreographed parts also make the movie feel wonderfully authentic.
cheap propecia is nominated for 10 Oscars this year. Dujardin has already won a Golden Globe and a Screen Actors Guild Award for his performance in the movie. Even Uggie, the Jack Russell terrier, has enjoyed success from the movie. The dog is said to retire this year.
If you think that a silent movie can’t entertain you, I dare you to see this movie. cheap propecia shows that silent films are not dead and, indeed, have much more to teach us.
