Mrs. Lestee Cook, 83, was born December 10, 1928 to the late Horace and Evella McHenry.

She was a faithful member of Antioch Missionary Baptist Church, Ft. White.

In 1945 she married Eugene Cook, Sr. and to this union 10 children were born.  One son, Willie Joe Cook, Sr., preceded her in death.

On Sunday, April 15, 2012 at Haven Hospice with her family by her side she went home to be with the Lord, terminating a long illness.

She leaves to cherish her memories, her husband, Eugene Cook, Sr.; six daughters, Geraldine Cook, Mary L. (Limmie) Campbell, Melvese (Famon, Sr.) Dunbar, Alice (Terry, Sr.) Calloway, Debbie (James) Jones, all of Fort White, Fla.; Gwendolyn Hall of Fayetteville, N.C.; three sons, Eugene Cook, Jr., James Cook, both of Fort White, Fla., and Fred Cook of Jacksonville, Fla.; a special niece, Ruby Major; a special great nephew, Tony Major, both of Fort White, Fla.; two sisters, Geneva Seabron of Lakeland, Fla., and Lizzie Hopkins of Fort White, Fla., one brother, Roosevelt (Evelyn) McHenry; brother-in-law, Willie Cook, and sister-in-law, Lillie Bell Cook, both of Fort White, Fla.; 30 grandchildren; 60 great grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and sorrowing friends.

Funeral services for Mother Cook will be held Saturday, April 21, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church, Fort White, Fla., Rev. Donnell Sanders, Pastor.  Burial will follow in Bethlehem Cemetery.  Visitation will be Friday at funeral home 6 p.m. - 8 p.m.
