Ronald Jefferson Watson, born March 8, 1955, died unexpectedly on Oct. 5, 2013 at his home.
Mr. Watson was employed by the City of Alachua and had been there for 17 years. He attended Forest Grove Baptist Church. He loved football (Georgia and FSU) and also loved fishing.
He is preceded in death by his father, James Watson; mother, Juanita Whiddon; his brother, Rudolph Watson, and his sister, Charlotte Smith. He is survived by his sisters, Glenda Herrin of Alachua and Shirley Smith of Bronson, and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, Oct. 10, 2013 from 6-8 p.m. at Evans-Carter Funeral Home, 220 N. Main Street, High Springs, Fla. Funeral Services will be Friday, Oct. 11, 2013, 2 p.m. at Forest Grove Baptist Church, 22575 NW 94th Ave., Alachua, Fla. Arrangements by Evans-Carter Funeral Home, High Springs, Fla.
