Our heavenly father opened his arms and welcomed an angel on a fall Monday morning. Our beloved crystal blue eyed Bella, “Our Mama.” Compassionate mother, grandmother, sister, daughter, aunt and friend. Loved and adored by all who knew her. A remarkable, gentle selfless spirit, she shared her love of music with her beautiful voice as well as her cooking, baking, sewing and needlework skills, passing them down to the generations to follow.

Born in Manhattan, N.Y., one of nine children to immigrants from Italy, Albert and Antoinette Trapani, she is survived by her twin brother Vincent Trapani. She was devoted to her seven children, Dominick Agilo, Providenza Simpson, Patrina Terry, Antoinette Hunt, Peter Aglio, Jr., Susan Stakes and John Aglio. She resided in Florida for over 30 years after moving from Long Island, N.Y. She opened her arms to her sons-in-law Randy Hunt, Donald Terry, Joseph Simpson and Steve Stakes.

She was also a loving grandmother to Travis Simpson, Dan and Heather Tavares, Steven and Melissa Shedd, Charles Terry, Clayton and Cyndi Hunt, Joseph and Bianca Stakes and James and Lisa Center and great grandmother to Jennifer and Emilia Tavares, Isabella Simpson, Rylee Shedd, Jackie Marinovich, James, Micheal, Anthony, and Dominick Center.

We will miss you dearly, Mama. Your beautiful face, warm smile, voice, strength, and undeniable love of family. We will always treasure our memories with you. Our shining star, now soaring with the butterflies you so dearly loved; we will always follow. Engraved in our hearts forever. Rest in peace our beautiful Bella “our Mama” until the day that we’re together once more.

A celebration of life will take place in spring 2014. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her memory to: Haven Hospice (E.T. York) Care Center, 4200 NW 90th Blvd., Gainesville, FL 32606; 352-379-6210; www.havenhospice.org.
