Frank Block, 35 of Fort White, Fla., passed away September 19, 2011 in his home.

He is survived by his wife, Rose Block; daughters, Rickilynn Cyman and Ashley Block; mother, Marie Bond; siblings, Louis Block, and Millie Parrish.

Visitation will be held at the Seventh Day Adventist church in High Springs, 230 NW 1st Avenue Friday, September 23, 2011  at 1 p.m. with service at 2 p.m. and fellowship to follow.

Georgan Roberts, 71 of High Springs, passed away on September, 18, 2011 in Gainesville, Fla.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Helen Grady and twin daughters. She is survived by her husband, Charles Roberts; daughters, Carrie (Keith) Barnes, Kellie (David) Rendek; grandchildren, Avery (Jennifer) Barnes, Mac (Sarah) Rendek and Colee Rendek, all of High Springs.

She grew up in High Springs, was a teacher for Alachua County School Board, principal for Newberry Elementary, served as Commissioner and Mayor for the City of High Springs, choir member and Sunday School teacher at First Baptist Church of High Springs.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 20, 2011 at First Baptist Church of High Springs from 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral service will be on Wednesday, Sept. 21, 2011 at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church of High Springs, with Dr. Eddie Gandy and Rev. Morris C. Beck officiating. Interment will be in High Springs Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Compassion In Jesus Name, c/o of First Baptist Church, 20112 North US Highway 441, High Springs, FL 32643.

Lenard Bernard Davis, 60, passed in Baltimore, Md.  He was born October 3, 1950 to Lenard Davis and C. Elizabeth Davis in High Springs, Fla.

Mr. Davis was a graduate of A. L. Mebane High School, Class of 1967, and he served in the U S Air Force.

Survivors include his children, a daughter, Scharbette (Zane) Smith, and a son, Gerrod Davis, both of Baltimore, Md.; mother, C. Elizabeth Davis of High Springs, Fla.; father, Lenard Davis of High Springs, Fla.; sisters, Gloria James of High Springs, Fla., Brenda (Charles) Clemons of Gainesville, Fla., and Wilhelmenia (Eddie) Long of Wesley Chapel, Fla.; brothers Theodore Davis of High Springs, Fla., and Ronald K. (Wanda) Davis of Alachua, Fla.; grandchildren, Tyrod, Josiah, Tiyahn Davis and Nyah and Zachary Smith all of Baltimore, Md.; aunts, Anna Louise Brown of Cross City, Fla., Irene and Roberta Adams of Philadelphia, Penn., and Velma (Fraze) King of High Springs, Fla.; uncles, Frank Davis of Philadelphia, Penn., Darnell (Helen) Davis of Upper Marlboro, Md., and Vernon (Joyce) Davis of Orlando, Fla.; host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

Memorial Service will be held Saturday, September 24, 2011 at 11 a.m. at Allen Chapel A.M.E. Church, High Springs, Fla., Rev. James McDaniel, Pastor, Elder Dwight Brisbane, Eulogist. Burial will be in Pine Hill Cemetery.

The kind, gentle and loving soul of Gerald R. Emerson, 76, left its earthly vessel on September 9, 2011 to be with the Lord and join his departed family and friends.

Born in 1935 to Ralph Waldo Emerson and Mildred Ruth Ivey at the Ivey Homestead in Bland, Gerald was a member of Spring Hill Methodist Church, served in the U.S. Navy, and was a lifelong farmer and resident of Bland.  A strong man of faith, he loved his family and farm, and enjoyed hunting and fishing.  God worked through him to touch the lives of those around him through his sense of humor, compassion and generosity.

He is survived by his son, Scott Emerson and daughter, Lisa Emerson, both of Alachua; brothers Ronnie, Wade and Wayne Emerson, all of Alachua; and a loving companion, Shirley Ferguson of Alachua.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Carroll Wheeler Emerson; an infant sister, Patricia Emerson; and brother, Dennis Emerson of Alachua.

Family visitation is September 11, 2011 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Spring Hill Methodist Church, Traxler.  A homecoming will be held at Spring Hill Methodist Church, Traxler, on September 12, 2011 at 2 p.m. with Pastor James Richardson conducting the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Spring Hill Methodist Church, Gerald Emerson Memorial Fund, ATTN: Gail Emerson, 24217 NW Old Bellamy Road, High Springs, FL 32643.
