University of Florida senior Chas Henry (Dallas, Ga.) and freshman Trey Burton (Venice, Fla.) have each been named as a Southeastern Conference Player of the Week, the league office announced on Monday.  Henry was recognized as the Co-Special Teams Player of the Week, while Burton picked up Tri-Freshman of the Week honors.

Henry earned the accolade after connecting on a game-winning 37-yard field goal to beat Georgia in Jacksonville this past Saturday. The field
goal was Florida’s first-ever overtime field goal. The senior also connected on a 34-yard field goal with 10:48 left in the game to give the Gators a 24-16 lead. The Dallas, Ga., native also booted six punts for 281 yards (46.8 average), including a 61-yard punt with just over three minutes left in the third quarter, his fourth punt of 60-plus yards this season. Henry shared the weekly honor with Demond Washington of Auburn.

Burton collected Freshman of the Week honors for the second time this season after rushing for a career-high 110 yards and two touchdowns on 17 carries. The Sept. 27 SEC Freshman of the Week also caught five passes for 35 yards and was a perfect 2-for-2 in the air for 35 yards
passing. With 3:35 on the clock in the second quarter, Burton scored his 10th overall touchdown of the season on a one-yard rush, and then truck again with a career-long 51-yard touchdown run at the 6:56 mark in the fourth quarter to tally his 11th total touchdown this season (10th rushing, second only to NFL Hall of Famer Emmitt Smith in UF history). Burton shared the weekly accolade with Marcus Lattimore of South
Carolina and Michael Dyer of Auburn.
