Ora Bell Lee, 66, died Thursday, February 18, 2010. She was a native of Newberry and a retired Environmental Technician at the University of Florida.  She was a member of Mt. Nebo United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her father, Sylvester Brinkley, Alachua, FL; five sons, Lamar McClain, Sr., Alachua, FL, Frederick McGhee, Archer, FL, Jammie McGhee, Alachua, FL, James Lee and Tyrone

Lee both of Newberry, FL; six daughters, Delores Patterson and Letha L. Miller both of Alachua, FL, Donna Irving, Gainesville, FL, Loretta Lee, Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Barbara Lee, Jacksonville, FL and Denise Lee, Newberry, FL; four brothers, Jimmy Ross, Sr., Gainesville, FL, James McClain, Alachua, FL, Sylvester Brinkley, Jr. and Albert Brinkley both of Stuart, FL; five sisters, Mary Alice McGhee, Gainesville, FL, Alice Davis, Betty Brinkley, Mae Francis Brinkley and Mary Ann Brinkley all of Stuart, FL; twenty-one grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and an host of relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Ms. Lee will be held on Saturday, February 27, 2010 at 11:00 AM at the Female Protective Temple, Rev. William R. George officiating.  Burial will follow at Mt. Nebo Cemetery, Alachua, FL under the care of Chestnut Funeral Home, 18 NW 8th Ave, Gainesville, FL.  Visitation will be Friday 2:00-7:00PM Chestnut Chapel and on Saturday at the Female Protective Temple one hour before the service.  The cortege will form at the home of Ms. Lee, 14230 NW 156th Place, Alachua at 10:15 AM.
