Daisy Louise Prevatt Williams, 86, loving wife, mother, and grandmother passed away at home April 9, 2012, among family and friends.

Oldest daughter of 16 children of Morgan and Thelma Prevatt, Mrs. Williams was born and raised in High Springs, Florida.  She was a member of Mount Horeb Baptist Church and the United Daughters of the Confederacy.

Survivors include Paul Williams, husband of 69 years; children, Bert (Elisa), Jimmy (Dianne), Louise (Dan), Lee (Diana), and Steven; two brothers, Wilbert and Jackie; four sisters, Dorothy, Imogene, Marie, and InaMae; 10 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.

Mrs. “Daisy” Williams will be missed by family and friends including those who rode her school bus or ate in the Santa Fe High School cafeteria.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice of Nature Coast, High Springs, Florida.

Viewing will be at Evans Carter Funeral Home, High Springs, Friday, April 13 from 6 to 8 p.m., with church service at Mount Horeb Baptist Church Saturday, April 14 at 10:30 a.m. and graveside service at Antioch Cemetery.

Doris Summers Longman, 80, passed away April 8, 2012 at Haven Hospice. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of High Springs. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Harry Sommers and Ralph Longman and son, Eric Sommers.

Survivors include her sons, Harry Sommers of Texas, and Randy (Peggy) Sommers of High Springs; daughter, Charlene (Kenneth) Polk of Alachua; step-daughter, Susanne Taylor of High Springs; five grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; sisters, Ellen Altsman of Gainesville, Jean Kirchner of Beaver Falls, Penn., Betty Lou Porto of Ormond Beach, Fla., twin sister, Deloris Barber of High Springs; sister-in-law, Ernestine Jennings of Gainesville, and brother, Harry Jennings of High Springs.

Visitation is Wednesday, April 11, 2012 at 10 a.m. at First United Methodist Church of High Springs, 17405 NW US Highway 441, followed by Funeral Service at 11 a.m. with Rev. Benton Mangueira officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Haven Hospice, 4200 NW 90th. Blvd, Gainesville, FL, 32606-3809.

Obituary2012  Marlin "Butch" Kirby, 67, of High Springs passed away Thursday, March 29 at North Florida Regional Medical Center following a brief illness.

He was retired from the U.S. Navy after 26 years of service and attended the First Baptist Church of High Springs.

Survivors include his wife of 45 years ,Tokiko Kirby of High Springs; a son; Marlin (Robin) Kirby, Jr. of York, Pa.; a daughter, Jo (Bill) Hartman of High Springs; four brothers, Wayne (Phyllis) Kirby of San Diego, Calif., Bill (Debbie) Kirby, Vaughn Kirby, Jack (Sandy) Kirby, all of Bloomington, Ind.; four sisters; Connie Lewis of Conway, S.C., Katie Sumner, Dawn (Phillip) Wright, both of Bloomington, Ind., Lynn (Donald) Veasey of Aynor, S.C.; four grandchildren; Justin, Taylor, Ethan and Marley.

Funeral services were conducted at 11 a.m. on Monday, April 2, 2012 at First Baptist Church of High Springs with Rev. Billy Stephens officiating. Visitation was one hour prior to the service at the church.

Graveside services with military honors was conducted in the High Springs Cemetery. Arrangements under the direction of Evans - Carter Funeral Home High Springs.

Ozell Wilson, 77, of Alachua, passed on March 28, 2012.

He was born in Valdosta, Ga. to the late Benny and Idella Wilson.  He worked as a custodian at Santa Fe College.

Survivors include his wife, Uclee Wilson of Gainesville; daughter, Clementene (Louis) Hughes of Alachua; brothers, Taft Smith and Willie Lee Smith, both of Jasper, Fla., Calvin Smith of Valdosta, Ga., James Smith of Jacksonville, Fla., and Jerry Smith of Monticello, Fla.; two grandchildren; four great grandchildren and one great great grandchild; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Viewing for Mr. Wilson will be Saturday, April 7, 2012, 12 noon to 1 p.m. with a wake at 1 p.m. at A. Jerome Brown Funeral Home.

Leroy  Emenheiser, 78, of Fort White, passed away on March 18, 2012 at ET York Hospice Care Center in Gainesville, Fla.

He served with the US Army and was a truck driver.

He is survived by his wife, Bobbie Emenheiser; sons, Jimmy and John Emenheiser; daughters, CJ Rohaley and Chantay Palmer; brother, Dale Emenheiser; several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held on April 1, 2012 at 3:30 p.m. at the Eagles’ Club, 7118 W University, Gainesville, Fla.

Arrangements are under the care of Evans-Carter Funeral Home, High Springs, Fla.
