Lonnie Harland Schofield, 67, Fort White resident passed away Friday, March 28, 2014, at his residence following a lengthy illness. He attended the Church of God and owned and operated A1A Tree Service. He loved to hunt and fish and play horseshoes.

Survivors include long-time spouse, Ann Brown Schofield of Fort White; four sons, Randall, Westley (fiancée, Tina Lynn Dorminey), and James all of Fort White and Virgil Jarboe of Spooner, Wis.; one daughter, Angel Schofield Abner (Gerrick) of Minter, Ala.; brother, Clifford Schofield (Patricia) of Fort White; sister, Ethel Brown (Edward) of High Springs; and nine grandchildren. He was preceded in death by parents, James Franklin and Olive Mae Schofield; brothers, John Calvin Schofield, Daniel David Schofield and James Franklin Schofield.

Funeral Services will be conducted Tuesday, April 1, 2014 at 2 p.m. at Mt. Horeb Baptist Church, High Springs with Pastor Sam J. Brown officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Horeb Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday 6-8 p.m. at Evans-Carter Funeral Home, High Springs (386-454-2444).

Delores Ann Spencer, 82, of Alachua, died Saturday, March 22, 2014 in Alachua, Fla. Mrs. Spencer was born in Royal Oak, Mich., to William Cornell and Phyllis Mathews. Mrs. Spencer was a homemaker and was of the Methodist faith.

She is survived by her husband, Thomas Cole Spencer; her sons, Thomas Eugene (Marie) Spencer, David Cole (Sandi) Spencer, Ronald Cornell (Jennifer) Spencer, and James Jeffrey (Amy) Spender, all of High Springs; and grandchildren, Thomas (Jamey), Lauren, Garrett, Caul, Ashley and Trevor Spencer.

Visitation will be held Monday, March 24, 2014 from 6 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at First United Methodist Church in Alachua, with funeral services Tuesday, March 25, at First United Methodist Church, 14805 NW 140th St., Alachua. Mrs. Patricia Ann Lee, age 55, of High Springs passed on Friday, March 14, 2014. She is the daughter of the late JC Johnson and Alberta Mazon Johnson. For many years Patricia worked at the business she and her husband owned, Lee’s Fun to Learn Daycare Center in High Springs. She is a 1976 graduate of Santa Fe High School. She was also preceded in death by brother, Allen Johnson.

Her survivors include devoted husband Raymond J. Lee, Sr.; daughter LaKisha (Alfred) Dickerson, both of High Springs; and son Raymond J (LeAnn) Lee, Jr. of Gainesville; grandchildren Kadisha S. Rollins, Randy K. Daniels, Lydia J. Lee, Deborah A. N. Lee, Ta’tyiana R. Jackson-Lee, Alayah N. Dickerson; adopted children Stephen M. Jaworski and Patricia C. Jaworski; sisters Roberta Lee and Jennette Johnson-James; nieces, nephews, aunt Linda Jacobs, uncle, Jerome Mazon, cousins and friends.

Funeral services for Mrs. Lee will be held on Saturday, March 22, 2014 at 11 a.m. at the Female Protective Temple, 12610 NW 39th Ave., Gainesville, FL 32606. Viewing will be one hour prior to funeral services. Burial will be immediately following in the Mt. Nebo Cemetery, Alachua.

Elizabeth “Betty” Rawls McLeod Maxey was born July 5, 1929 and raised in High Springs, Fla. She attended Florida State University and moved to Roanoke, Va., in 1960. Betty was a successful business woman. She started McLeod’s Children’s Center in 1962, and she later owned and operated the Kiddie Korner on Jefferson St. in Roanoke. She and her husband, Sam Maxey, founded For Sale By Owner Magazine in 1992.

In addition to her parents, Burton Hansel Rawls and Elizabeth Eville Rawls, she is predeceased by her husband, Samuel C. Maxey, and her beloved sister, Carolyn Rawls Straley. She is survived by her three daughters; Linda McLeod Brown (Rea), Sharon McLeod Mitchell, Lauren McLeod Neighbors (Jerry) and son, Mark A. McLeod. She also leaves behind eight grandchildren; Matthew E. Mitchell, Kevin M. Tabor, Andrew R. Brown (Emily), Mary Elizabeth Brown, Emily Ann McDougall (Joey), Brooks A. McLeod, Tobin A. McLeod, and Rosemary R. McLeod.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Gentle Shepherd Hospice, 6045 Peters Creek Rd., Roanoke, VA 24019.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m., Thursday, March 20, 2014 at First Presbyterian Church, 2101 Jefferson Street, Roanoke, Va. Mr. Roy Bradley Jordan, 69, of Eufaula, Ala., died Saturday, Feb. 8, 2014 at his home.

Born Dec. 15, 1944, Mr. Jordan was the son of the late R.B. Jordan and Toledo Loreta Holton Jordan.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Barbara Fleming and Loretta Hurst and a daughter Tammy Jordan.

Mr. Jordan was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He enjoyed playing the guitar and singing and was an avid reader.

Survivors include a son Robert (Debbie) Jordan, Eufaula; a daughter, Annie (Gary) Sea, Middleburg, Fla.; five grandchildren, Robert Tappan, Jody Tappan, Nolin Sea, Ryan Faust and Emilee Sea; a sister, Leona Harrell, a brother-in-law, Curly Hurst and a dear friend Betty Marshall.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 1, 2014 at 2 p.m.  Forest Grove Baptist Church, 22575 NW 94th Ave., Alachua, Fla.. Arrangements were made by Kent Funeral Home, Eufaula.
